Install cab to WM5 directly from windows

November 25, 2006

Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Widnows XP/VISTA
CABviaActiveSync v1.4 is a very usefull application which adds a shortcut in windows context menu for sending a .cab file to your pocket pc thru activesync. This tool will save you couple of clicks and will make your life easyer !

Here is how it work:
- CvAS installs on your desktop PC, and adds a right-click context menu for CAB files
- When you click the menu, the CAB is automatically parsed, copied to your ActiveSync directory, and a regular ActiveSync install is initiated
- When the install is complete, the CAB file stays in the ActiveSync directory, meaning you can un/reinstall in future, without having to archive the CAB away somewhere.

The VK task manager had one slight bug and that was that you have to actually be bothered to close the apps and also when the phone keypad was running closing it would cause it to go nuts.

So i have found an even better application that is smclose you dont see it run all it does is convert the x at the top in to a close rather than minimize
